Regardless of where you fall on the political spectrum – Republican, Democrat, Conservative, Liberal, Don’t Know, Don’t Care, Anarchist, Lunatic… even the “Shut Up & Stick To Music” camp, etc – there are some issues which just matter to everyone: they affect you even if you don’t know about them, or even if you don’t care.
And they affect all of us: i.e. do we spend our tax money on improving America & building jobs & promoting health & education or do we spend it on wars abroad? Or do we prosecute billionaires who steal millions of dollars from the working class? Or do we take a stand to protect our privacy when we find out the government is spying on everything we do?
…either way, I think one of the most relevant issues of our day is Net Neutrality: protecting every person’s access to the fastest internet possible; keeping the internet as fair as possible and as free as possible.
It seems every few months I hear about some new threat to internet freedom. It’s always some new urgent announcement: “tomorrow is our last chance to speak up and protect internet freedom” like literally… this the fucking 50th time its happened in the last 10 years, but I just found out its happening again.
